These terms cover your use of the Trawl app and this website. By downloading or using Trawl you agree to them.
Who we are
Trawl is made by Vince Erkadoo, Mauritius. Contact: vince@vincedotcode.com.
Trial and plans
- Trawl needs an account and a plan. Monthly and yearly plans start with a free trial of 2 days, once per account. You add a payment card to start the trial.
- Nothing is charged during the 2 days. When they end, your card is charged automatically for the plan you chose ($6 per month or $49 per year) and the plan renews until you cancel. Cancel before the 2 days end and you pay nothing.
- The one-time lifetime licence has no trial and is charged at purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel renewal at any time inside Trawl (Account → Billing); you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- One account may be used on the Macs of a single person.
Payments
Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our merchant of record and is responsible for payment processing, invoicing and sales tax. Prices are shown in US dollars; your bank may convert them.
Acceptable use
Don't resell, share or reverse-engineer accounts or licences, or use Trawl to break the law. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Your files
Trawl reads files on your Mac only to search them for you. You keep all rights to your files. We do not receive them.
No warranty
Trawl is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will find every file or be free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
