How do I find something I downloaded but can't find in Downloads?
Your browser keeps a download list (⌥ ⌘ L in Safari, ⌘ ⇧ J in Chrome) that shows where each file was saved. Trawl also remembers downloads from every browser together with the page they came from, so you can search "the PDF I downloaded from the bank".
The built-in way (free)
- Open the browser's downloads list and right-click the file to show it in Finder.
- In Finder, sort Downloads by Date Added.
With Trawl
- Search what it was or where it came from. Downloads are under Web > Downloads.
- ↵ opens the file; ⌘ ↵ shows it in Finder.
Describe it. Trawl finds it.
Files, photos, recordings, every browser and your clipboard, searched by meaning on your Mac. Your day, hour by hour. Nothing uploaded.
