Can I search my Mac by voice?
You can dictate into Spotlight with macOS Dictation. Trawl has a mic button (⌘ L): say what you remember, stop talking, and it searches. Speech is turned into text on your Mac and nothing is recorded.
The built-in way (free)
- Open Spotlight and use Dictation (press the Dictation key or Fn twice).
With Trawl
- Press ⌘ L, describe the thing, and pause.
- Trawl searches as soon as you stop talking.
